Homeschooling Princesses

Last week's homeschooling meeting was really great; We all brought big sheets and blankets and boxes for building cubbies and forts.
Lots of fun!

Here's Princess Littletree, just because this pic is co cute I couldn't resist

I also had the idea to brink a sack of potatoes and some knives and paint - we carved potato stamps, which the kids had fun with.
Here's me with some of the mamas carving away

The kids really got into the dress-ups, and playing in the cubby-castles.

  2. I LOVE potato stamps! Everyone thinks I am so weird.

Okay, I posted on my blog about white people in locs. Then I came here, and ya know, I had never noticed you have them! I think you are totally cute and so is your hair, so now I have to revise my opinion. See what you did?

  3. sorry rachee, I can't help being cute. I'm just drawn that way.

I have noticed that a lot of people in the US have a hard time understanding the WPD thing, I think because there's such a strong AA Dred culture, people miss the many other cultures that have dreds.

For me, its not a fashion thing, its an expression of my culture and my religion.

  5. wow, year of the potato!
    who knew?
appropriately, we started making a potato maze (building a light-proof maze with a potato at the centre, and one window to let light in at the far end). Of course, it will take a while for the potato shoot to grow its way out of there, but rest assured I will blog it when it's ready.
